Second, once you join Changemakers by registering for a Changemaker Challenge, you will be assigned a Changemaker Coach and invited into a Changemaker Team who will provide support and guidance to you as you step out into your Challenge. Your coach and team cannot accomplish the Challenge for you but they can help you grow in a personal relationship with Jesus within five Forgotten Pieces that will develop your ability to see God’s power help you grow as a changemaker.
The best and only way to make real change is through action. These challenges will unite you with local Boy With a Ball teams around the world as you both fight for the same mission of seeing hurting communities transformed and young people reach their dreams. Each quarter of the year, you will need to choose at least one challenge. You can complete this challenge yourself or with others, but if you complete it with other Changemakers, you will need to either split the points between one another or multiply the objective. Level 1 challenges are worth 10,000 points!
It’s a lot easier to fight for a young person sacrificially when you’ve seen their face. And it’s a lot easier to fight for a beautiful, hurting community when you’ve read the stories and watched the videos of life there. This challenge powerfully connects 100 individuals with the sights, sounds, and stories of Love Your City and the way it changes people’s lives. How amazing that you can accomplish so much while laying on your bed!

Even Jesus, who was capable of accomplishing everything on His own, used the seemingly insignificant young people in his city to accomplish His purpose for the world. Cities flourish when everyone is involved. Businesses care more than you think about playing a powerful part in helping their community. Business leaders can even use their connection to a cause like Boy With a Ball as a rallying point for their employees to see that their work is earning profits that are being used to change the world in meaningful ways.
sign upCamp Changemakers is a 5 day summer camp where you will learn to follow and know Jesus. This camp is a launching pad into a life of changemaking and relationship with Jesus. It’s so important that you would come to this camp and that your friends would come too! The goal of this Challenge is to bring one friend that you’ve invited to your youth group, to Camp Changemakers. Who will you invite?

Everyone wants to change the world, but few do because real change requires us to do things we wouldn’t normally do. This challenge will powerfully help local teams launching Love Your City in slums and refugee camps across the world by connecting them with 100 people who will give just a little bit of money but a whole lot of their hearts. Working in hurting neighborhoods can be overwhelming at times, but this challenge lets these teams know that they are not alone by building a bridge between them and 100 people who are willing to join the fight. This is huge.

sign upThe LYC Conference brings together Boy With a Ball teams from across the world alongside Changemakers like you for a weekend of fun, friendship, songs and stories, workshops, speakers from around the world, and a hands-on experience of Love Your City in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

At the Love Your City Conference, there are workshops made specifically for missional leaders, dinners with like-minded leaders, and an opportunity to serve at Love Your City the last day of the conference.

WHY SHOULD I TAKE ON A CHALLENGE?
Well, there's no real way to be a Changemaker without action. Each challenge is carefully created to make a lasting, real impact across the world. Because of how important this impact is, you'll also be rewarded with special prizes and opportunities along the way. And once you complete your first challenge, you'll get to join a Changemakers small group, which will help you become a Changemaker in your city and learn to know and follow Jesus in your everyday life.
